Small Tree is looking forward to the release of ST-RAID mobile in October and here is a brief overview of what to expect when it arrives!
ST-RAID mobile is a self-contained complete real-time shared storage solution for Final Cut that can address the editing needs of up to 6 editors.
As a complete shared storage solution for Final Cut editors, it does not require any metadata servers, licenses, switches or Fibre Channel HBAs.
It is a 3U solution that will come with 16 drives (1TB or 2 TB) and can be expanded to 32 drives for a total of 64TB of mobile in the field storage!
The solution was designed to meet the needs of mobile studios that have on-site editing requirements and the needs of video rental companies with Final Cut customers.
It can also be partitioned to accommodate 1 or 2 Pro Tools editors.
